Experience
Vi Applen joined Carlin & Buchsbaum in December of 2010. Before joining the firm, Vi served as a judicial extern for United States Magistrate Judge Oswald Parada, where she assisted in analyzing and drafting legal opinions, and was also an intern with the Legal Unit at the EEOC where she assisted trial attorneys in litigation against employers for violations of Title VII, the ADEA and the ADA.
Background
Vi was born in Vietnam and grew up in San Bernardino, CA. She is a Double-Bruin, having received her B.A. in World Arts & Cultures from UCLA in 2002 and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2010. Vi enjoys cooking and traveling.
